Workplace Wellness Hour (February Recap)
Navigating workplace uncertainty—whether due to shifting roles, hybrid work policies, or changing leadership—can be challenging for both employees and organizations. However, with the right strategies, teams can stay resilient, productive and engaged. In this blog, we will recap key insights from February’s Workplace Wellness Hour (live on LinkedIn every other Monday night). We will explore how to foster a strong workplace culture, empower teams, and create an environment where success is possible—even in uncertain times.
Workplace Resilience: Thriving Amid Uncertainty (live on 02.03.2025)
#FelipesFive: Leadership in Uncertain Times
Felipe Cofiño offered a wealth of leadership knowledge and emphasized the HUMAN in HR through his #FelipesFive. He shared how leaders care for both themselves and their teams:
- Practice Leadership Self-Care – How do leaders manage their resilience in tough times?
- Reinforce Purpose and Stability – What anchors your team?

Navigating Uncertainty with Adaptability
Ashley Fluellen shared her experience of building a business during a time of major change. She stressed the importance of:
- Reclamation – Taking ownership of your path
- Collaboration – Working with others to find solutions
- Abstraction – Challenging assumptions and rethinking what feels “settled”
- Incubation – Allowing new ideas to develop over time
Among these, abstraction stood out. “Once you think you’ve got it right,” Ashley said, “change it all up.”
The FITT Framework: Strengthening Workplace Connections
Sumana Jeddy’s FITT Framework, better known as the connection prescription, seamlessly aligned with this conversation, emphasizing the importance of connecting with others.
- Frequency– How often do you engage with colleagues?
- Intensity– How meaningful are these interactions?
- Time– How much time is dedicated to each conversation?
- Type– What type of communication and supportive activities are you involved in?
We have practical checklists for both leaders and employees, along with detailed descriptions of each principle to guide their implementation.
The Future of Work in a Changing World (live on 01.17.2025)
The second Workplace Wellness Hour of February unintentionally centered around communication and clarity as key tools for managing change. Our minds are complex machines that wander without relevant information or clear objectives. Ensuring that all employees receive the necessary details is essential for minimizing assumptions and promoting both productivity and harmony.
#FelipesFive: Shaping the Future of Work
While all five of #FelipesFive were insightful, two stood out in this session:
- Adaptability in Work Models – Staying flexible in an evolving workplace
- Re-skilling & Redeployment – Preparing for new roles and emerging opportunities

Visualizing Change Exercises
Ashley Fluellen led artistic visualization exercises designed to help reflect on and uncover your true goals and emotions:
- Crisis Directive – Paint a picture representing the challenge that led you to this transition
- Recovery Bridge – Design a bridge illustrating your past, present, and future work journey
- Costs/Benefits Collage – Compare the experience of staying the same vs. embracing change
- Future – Depict where you see yourself a year from now after making a change
- Barriers -Create an image symbolizing the obstacles you may face in this transition
High-Quality Connections (HQC's) Matter
It is also important to have High-quality Connections (HQC’s) with colleagues who share similar values, as discussed in January’s blog. As our world and workplace environments continue evolving, it is essential to be open and honest with those HQCs about how these changes affect you. Staying aligned with shared goals and values is key, as well as supporting one another in upholding them—even when it requires extra effort or understanding. This includes aligning what “wellness” means to your company and each individual. Sumana highlighted how the definition of wellness has shifted over the years and emphasized how important it is for her company, Jeddy Wellness, to stay true to its systematic approach to health and well-being.
Moving Forward
Sometimes, the most powerful action you can take is to step back and ask yourself, your team, or your employees, “Is this working?” It may be necessary to pause, regroup, and refocus on core values, learn from each other’s feedback, and shake up what feels familiar or planned to find new solutions.
As Ashley pointed out, it’s natural for humans to navigate change slowly. To better prepare for it, we can:
✅ Communicate effectively with employees using #FelipesFive
✅ Reflect on our own positions with Ashley’s visualization strategies
✅ Strengthen our social support networks by applying Sumana’s FITT Framework
